Title: In Cork, trying to get started
Post by: Yik on April 17, 2018, 09:13:33 PM
Hi everyone,

I've been thinking of getting into home brewing for awhile and decided to sign up here today.

I currently have four demijohns which were passed along to me, I was wondering if anyone has a really basic recipe just to get me started?

Thanks,
-Y

Welcome Yik.
You could do a mead in a Demijohn.
1kg honey.
About 4l water.
Give it a good stir
Wine yeast - pay a visit to Natural choice in Paul St.
You might need yeast nutrient.

You're going to need bottles, capper, caps, etc.
Best look at the homebrew company or homebrew west websites.
Full membership here gets you a discount on these sites.

Sorry should've said, a recipe for anything really.

Thanks John, sounds simple enough. How long should I leave it in the demijohn before bottling?
