Title: kegerator or keezer
Post by: Andy Q on May 03, 2018, 09:07:40 PM
Hi All,

Kegerator is on the way out, seems to only keep beer at 12 degrees or so, so has to go with summer coming, so time to upgrade,
just wondering what the consensus is on Kegerators versus keezers, especially for the lazy brewer!

I Like the kegerator because I like the height of the taps and the freezer underneath for hops/overspill from main freezer, and seems to be an easier/cheaper conversion(given already have taps etc from old one)
but I'm tempted toward a keezer for largering at lower temperatures and I think a beer tower drilled into the top woud look the nuts!
(plus couldn't be arsed building a collar for front loaded taps)

Antone have strong feeling towards one over the other?

Thanks as always!

Hey Andy,

I've just upgraded my two tap kegerator to a 4 tap. The freezer is smaller but it's great to be able to pour 4 beers from it. The biggest issue I have is the space inside. When there are 4 kegs in there is a pain in the ass to access the disconnects without having to move everything around. If I had the space I would 100% do a keezer. It's easy to access the kegs and the tubing etc can be arranged a lot easier. Just my 2c
