Title: Greetings from the Wicklow Hop's Company
Post by: Thewicklowhopscompany on May 22, 2018, 10:46:22 PM
Hi,
Thought I would say hi, I might met some of you at Brewcon. My name is Philip I am the co-owner of the Wicklow Hop's Company. We are starting a commercial hop farm in Newcastle Co.Wicklow. We currently have 5000 planted, some are first season and some are in the 2nd. At the moment we are growing mostly German and UK varieties but we are conducting trials with over 30 different varieties from around the world to see how they grow in the Irish climate.

We have also opened a small lab that conducts analysis for the commercial craft breweries at the moment. We are testing ABV, IBU, calories, Final gravity, color and a full micro analysis. As I said we are mostly geared towards industry but if anyone ever wanted to get there favorite homebrew analysed than we can do that for you. Water testing will also be coming online next month as well.

Looking forward to meeting you all at some stage.

All the best,
Philip

Nice one, you guys have a website yet to look at? Sad I did not get to talk to you at BrewCon.

Cheers,
