Anybody have an old fridge lying around that could be converted into a fermentation cabinet?
I've been looking on adverts/done deal, what happened to people giving away things like this? Everyone is looking for 50-100 for junk.
Funds are stretched right now so not willing to throw to much at it.
Lurk outside a recycling centre on a saturday morning and talk to the driver BEFORE he enters.
You never know!
I think recycling centres believe they are not allowed to give out electrical goods! Effin Elf'n'Safety.
Try suggesting they cut the plug off so rendering it inoperable.
I might give that a go. The annoying thing is I gave away a fridge last year that would have been perfect. I wasn't brewing at the time so it didn't cross my mind.
The food delivery companies often have interesting storage solutions for keeping food hot, that might work well as a fermentation chamber.
I was in the same position...
I gave away a fridge that was freezing food before I started brewing. It would have been ideal!
Looking on adverts people are looking for ridiculous money for stuff....
In the end I bought brand new chest freezer (I have space) for the same price as 2nd hand.
I got 1 in the end for 30 so not too bad. A bit bigger than I wanted but will do the job.
I've an inkbird controller arriving on Monday too, just need to get something to brew next. I've only been making kits until now but thinking of moving up to biab soon, just can't decide what to get.
I might get a few more kits & wait to see if there are any black friday deals that might sway my decision.

Always better to have too much space.
