So, I don't know if it's an age thing or what, but this year I have started buying the odd beer here and there for ageing and enjoying down the line. Normally beers have a very short shelf life once they enter my house, but recently I'm finding myself planning ahead with beers that I'm told are worth it if you can wait a few years. I don't have anything overly exciting put away, a few strong Belgian Ales and a couple of Irish Barrel Aged projects, but just wondering what other people have hidden away and what the biggest rewards have been for waiting?
I suppose I am thinking about this now as I have just brewed a Barleywine which will be bottled, put away and forgotten about until Christmas 2019. Hopefully it will have been worth the wait.
