Title: STC1000 temp probe issue
Post by: TheFrog on October 25, 2018, 11:04:46 AM
Hi,

I noticed last night the STC for my fermentation chamber was displayed 22ºC instead of the 12ºC it was set to. After checking the settings on the STC, I went to calibrating it again using boiling water and freezing water.

With the probe in boiling water, the STC displays 92ºC. With the probe in freezing water, the STC displays 18ºC. Do I need to replace the STC or the probe?

Thx

Its unlikely to be the probe as its just a thermistor (resistance changes with temp).

More likely the STC. Just buy another and you will get a new probe!!
