The Brewers Association (http://www.brewersassociation.org) have added two more styles to their guidelines for 2013+ competitions. Grätzer/Grodziskie is one of them, and no doubt Jacob will be delighted!

Doesn't mince his words then.
Am sure he's a lot more correct than the style polis
What does Jacob say ( now he's come back down to earth )??

Fuck :/
QuoteI wish they's just carried on ignoring the style. It would have made my life mush easier.
Totally agree with it.
QuoteWhat would you say is wrong with their definition, and where did you get your information?
Should we make representations to the BA?
All the information I have come from Polish home brewers which are trying to resurrect that beer style for the last few years.
Also, for last 6 years there is a competition run just for that beer style. People that we're working for the brewery itself are on board as judges.
I know as well, that Polish Homebrewers Association was/is trying to put Grodziskie as an official BJCP style.
My Crystal ball shows mr happy changing his name to mr happier...
This is the BA rather than the BJCP so I guess that it's more for pro-brewer comps like the GABF and the World Beer Cup than homebrewers.
This is the link (http://www.brewersassociation.org/pages/media/press-releases/show?title=brewers-association-announces-2013-beer-style-guidelines) for the BA press release.
Ron Pattinson might be faily obnoxious, but he knows his onions and even based on my limited knowledge of the style that spec is total rubbish. Any recipe I've ever seen for Gratzer has been around 40 IBUs - which is kind of the point, it's supposed to be a bitter beer.
Thanks to Sam Black for pointing me to this beersmith podcast.
