Title: Tilt
Post by: johnrm on January 27, 2019, 08:58:30 AM
So this thing is easy to use, the software works in that you can read gravity and temp from the device, but how does the Google sheet work?
Seems to start recording with gusto, then, tumbleweed.

Is it connecting through your phone or house WiFi?

Set your email as a comment and it will log to sheets. You need to keep the app open a few seconds to get the value to be posted - you can check the confirmation in the settings screen on your phone.

Otherwise get a bluetooth device like a Pi nearby and it will continuously post values.

@CH - These yokes only have BT connectivity.
I have a Pi - could use this but was planning on great things for this.

I gave the Google sheet a go, probably need to pend more time with it.
I'll play with it some more.

Given that there are a few out there now, I would be interested in seeing how others are getting on with it.

I've been using it now for about 3-4 batches and it's worked well. Very accurate and amazing to see how the different yeasts chew through the points.

Untick then tick 'Check here to start logging data to the cloud' beers it to upload a few readings.
Clunky, but beats repurposing a Pi.
