Title: Looking for Trolltunga recipe
Post by: St. Fursey on May 31, 2019, 06:11:09 PM
I have a load of Gooseberries coming my way this summer. Anyone have a Trolltunga clone recipe or similar?

Have you tried emailing Buxton or Lervig for some advice?

Bastards!

You could try another sour recipe and just replace the fruit with gooseberries.

That's plan B. I've a recipe that works well with raspberries, might just do a big batch and split it in the secondary when I'm adding fruit - half raspberries, half gooseberries.

Yeah, I'd certainly opt on the safe side with a half batch. I learned my lesson a few years ago. Nothing worse than pouring 40 pints of beer down the plughole. It's the wasted time and effort that is so galling.
