Title: Kegerator build
Post by: Sokratees9 on August 05, 2019, 12:33:27 PM
So I finally got a second hand fridge (after getting the green light from the wife a while back), and the dream of creating a kegerator is slowly moving forward.  I'm going for a relatively simple set up of three taps in the door of a fridge, and hopefully I'll have one home brew one, a commercial beer (if I can find beers in tall sixtels), and sparkling water

Is there anywhere in the UK or Ireland that I can easily buy the rest of the bits and bobs I need to hook up the kegs handily (I've found American sites that have them, like https://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/conversion-kits.shtml, but they may not deliver here, or postage may be a lot, also, I'm worried about different stands not fitting well together between here and there).  A quick list of the things I think I need are:

And I'm sure there's a few other things I haven't thought about, so those with experience please let me know below.

Thanks,
Sok

I got my beer lines, reg & fittings from www.kegkingdom.co.uk. they had a discount code but when I ordered he removed the code. Was also missing parts which after a few e-mails he sent out. I recently realised 1 of the other parts I ordered was the wrong size. I e-mailed about that but he never replied.
I just came across www.brewkegtap.co.uk which also has a lot of the parts needed.
Not sure if either would have the reg you are looking for though.

Check out the homebrewcompany for keg and lines (and they'll have most things on your list too. Ive always found them reliable ) . AJ Edge in Swords Bray use to do converted fire extinguishers for your co2 tank (not sure if they still do. A quick phone call will tell you. They certainly do refills). Else, geterbrewed.com have options. Ebay for your JG fittings. Lots of places do taps, but for example- for intertap , look up ' the beer tap online shop' on ebay for a good idea and also disconnects etc. Or a store like brewmaster on Aliexpress (or Aliexpress for anything really!). And Homebrewwest have lots of bits and pieces. Not sure about the keg wrench and the need for one with corny kegs. Look for regulators with any of the online shops, along with manifolds. (you will find double regulators on such places as aliexpress, some of varying quality).

Cheers for the replies, some good info to get me started.  I also discovered Brew Keg Tap yesterday, and some of the stuff looks like what I need.

Oh, and I meant a tap wrench, not keg wrench

the-homebrew-project on ebay is good for parts. I got some Celli taps from him recently. Postage was a wee bit slow but good prices
