Title: Bulldog brewer element not working
Post by: Fal on September 08, 2019, 09:33:24 AM
The 1800 element seems to have stopped working on my v2 brewer. I haven't opened it up for a look yet.  Has anyone had a similar problem or some advise?

It's probably a thermal cut out (tco) rather than the element, if the element has been operated with insufficient water, it has probably tripped the tco. I'm not familiar with your system, tcos can be resettable or not depending on the unit, sometimes they are a thermal fuse, a small capsule connected on series with the element, and they need to be replaced if they have tripped, they have a temperature and current rating, so replace like with like (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190909/061381578c8999f3367fe2c110815c54.jpg)

The same thing happened to me. I contacted bulldog and had to buy a replacement PCB, it controls the elements. It was only £15 I remember and a quick plug in replacement.

It's worked great since.

Had the same issue. They are v helpful and reply relatively quick. The unit is quite easy to remove and replace too.
