Title: JG Fittings
Post by: Will_D on October 24, 2019, 10:57:26 AM
As there has mention of JG fittings in this forum here are a few notes:

1. JG fittings are NOT quick disconnects! Repeated connect/reconnect cycles will cause leaks as the end of the tube gets eaten away by the metal star washer that grips the tube.
Cut of the worn 8mm or so.

2. JG fittings are to be used "in-line". If you bend the pipe (like when you close the door) they will leak. Use a few 90 degree elbows to provide rotational flexability.

There is a cutting tool for gas and beer line which ensures a straight cut and so a good seal.

It seems to be in stock now, but was always out of stock when I looked.
Plumbing stores have these too for about the same price or a little less.

Cost comes out of plumbing budget...
