I'm Colin McC, I'm 38, from Cork. I made several kit beers in my younger days, but haven't made any in years. Recently after watching a youtube video from maximus ironthumper (an off grid guy in suffolk, whom I follow) He made Ironthumper Ale, and i got bitten by the bug again.
I bought a Coobra CB5 PRO v4 50L Brewery Kit from www.thehomebrewery.eu, malt and hops etc from geterbrewed.ie and I joined up to this forum.
I've plenty bottles etc. and I'm going to try my own twist on Iron thumper ale.
Work and kids are getting in the way of me starting, but I'll let you know how it all goes.
I suppose the endgame here is to have equipment for kegging and carbonating.

Welcome to the club! I think the lockdown has given most of us back some time, time that is being spent around a mash tun!
I noticed that there is another new member from Cork that just joined in the last week or so. There's also a few clubs down your neck of the woods. If you're looking to improve your brewing or just want to ask questions your local club is the best place to start.
Looking forward to hearing how your Ironthumper turns out.
