I got my knuckles wrapped for ordering Bushmills when we were in Cork due to my lack of local sensitivities, but I do find Bushmills the smoothest.
What do people find the mildest of the non-special/reserve stuff?
Black Bush is the best Irish blended whiskey available on the market now imho, but for a little more you can get quite nice single malt - Greenore :P
Heesuus!!
You should have sucked on the concrete up in Derry yesterday!
Cask strength, 6 year old, about 80% ABV PURE HEAVEN!!
Anyone lost in thi sthread see the photos!!!
Greenore's a good single grain whiskey alright. For me bush is the suppin whiskey in my house but I'm a sucker for Powers Johns Lane or Redbreast 12
QuoteRedbreast 12
Nice :) What about Connemara?
Not so much- Turf Mór maybe. One of our regulars drinks alot of Glendronach 21 and always insists we taste, if i could afford it, i'd drink it all the time. A massive perk of my job is getting to taste very rare whiskeys also-the price some of the lads pay for bottles would put some of the club members more impressive brew house totals to shame!!
I like powers, had that recently. At the moment I have Kilbeggan, always liked it. Tyrconnell is another favourite.
Always liked Redbreast 12.
As a standard drinking whiskey I like Powers or Kilbeggan.
Tullamore is not bad either and is rated higher abroad than here generally.
Paddy is pure muck.

Single grain. ;)
For standard whiskey I go for Bushmills but unfortunately my taste buds for whiskey demand that I go for 12 to 15 or more year old ones. Redbreast 12 and 15 are in my favourite category. :-*
