Title: Brown Grolsch Bottles.
Post by: Greg2013 on January 09, 2013, 09:10:22 PM
http://www.alpack.ie/Glass_Beer_BottlesSwing_topGrolsch_Bottles/Default.292.html

I just found this and the 750ml swing tops here are way cheaper than even the 500ml ones on homebrew.ie,homebrewwest.ie,thehomebrewcompany.ie. I have checked all three sites and the first one there is actually the most expensive, the 750ml with homebrewwest.ie is 2.45 euro and the place in Dublin above is only 1.33 euro.

Might be of interest to someone ;D

I have emailed an enquiry to them, might be a group buy possibility for us lesser mortals that are non keggers? ::)

Hi Greg

750ml sold in packs of 25 @ €1.33 each + VAT and the 500ml are sold in packs of 30 @ €1.36 each + VAT. Delivery for 1 tray would be €20 + VAT and for 2 trays €25 + VAT

Kind Regards

I bought a tray of 500mls from them about 18months ago and got them delivered, very expensive for 'empty' bottles. Personally I prefer standard capped bottles as I don't mind givin a few away for others to sample. These are so expensive I'm reluctant to part with them. I only really use them for highly carbed beers as they're very strong but they're not even necessary for that as I've carbed other bottles up to 3.5vols without issue. IMO swing tops are overrated.

Indeed they are very expensive for empties but for that speciakl occasion or even very special brew they have  a touch of class that some people seem to prefer ;)
