Wee County Brewers present The Great British Brew Off - a British styles homebrew competition.

We are running a British beers based brewing competition in conjunction with Brehon Brewhouse, Mo Chara and the National Homebrew Club.

Think English, Scottish and British styles, malty sweet, light and heavy beers - we're looking for them all!

The competition will be held 23rd Nov in Mo Chara, Dundalk. Judges and stewards will be invited to register in the coming weeks through the website.

Accepted styles are as follows:

11A Ordinary Bitter 11B Best Bitter 11C Strong Bitter
12A British Golden Ale 12C English IPA 13A Dark Mild
13B British Brown Ale 13C English Porter 14A Scottish Light
14B Scottish Heavy 14C Scottish Export 16A Sweet Stout
16B Oatmeal Stout 16C Tropical Stout 16D Foreign Extra Stout
17A British Strong Ale 17A1 Burton Ale 17B Old Ale
17C Wee Heavy 17D English Barley Wine 20C Imperial Stout
27A4 London Brown Ale 29C Specialty Fruit Beer 30D Specialty Spice Beer
31B Alternative Sugar Beer

The Wee County Brewers 'Great British Brew Off' is just over 7 weeks away - we're looking for some more entries and judges for the competition. Now is the perfect time to brew if you haven't already done so!
