Title: Pressure Sprayer for cleaning beer lines
Post by: Dr Jacoby on April 22, 2013, 08:17:19 AM
Thought this might interest some people. I was looking for a way to clean my beer lines without using gas. Following on from a suggestion by Will to use a pressure sprayer for the job, I tried a few options and came up with the following set-up, which I think works well. Basically, I attached a spare liquid post directly to the sprayer to form a tight seal. The threads didn't match but I was able to force it on with a wrench. This allowed me to connect my beer line using liquid disconnects. See the pics below to get a better idea:

Very clever as I was stripping my post, what will long term exposure of starsan do to that post though?

No idea, but its not just starsan that I'll be pumping through it. I plan to use oxycleaner to clean the lines, water to rinse and then starsan to sanitise.

Rust might be a concern all right, but I can always pump air through it to dry it out after each cleaning session.
