Just wondering how people find out about this site?
Google?
Word of mouth?
Linked from another site?
etc.
Thanks
I heard about it at a Beoir homebrew tasting night meself about 6 months ago or so
After I purchased my first homebrew kit today I googled "Homebrew Ireland" to see if any website/forums existed in Ireland for home brewers, delighted to see this site up and running.
I think the info here might be a good way of "marketing" the site in order to target future users
A fellow told me about it while I was standing in a bank. :)
In a pub in Dublin while sampling off flavours...
Somebody mentioned it on Beoir

Well I have always believed that if it aint fun then its nutten. I think its the law anyway :-*
Through the last cornie group buy. ;)
Asked Gráinne of Metalman where is the best place to start homebrewing, she advised to look for local community group here. And so I am.
BTW nice read your recent edition of Brewer Spotlight (http://www.nationalhomebrewclub.com/?p=1824).
It was one of the first results on Google when I searched for 'homebrew Ireland'. I've only been here a day or so, and I am already learning. Well done to everyone who set this site up. BTW, I enjoyed the article on your first birthday, nice little history.
Gareth.
There was I, thinking to myself do we have a national homebrew club in Ireland. So I googled 'National Homebrew Club'.... ;)
A simple google search seems to be quite common.
Question is, why did these googlers have homebrew on their mind in the first place?
Pretty sure I clicked on a link in someones sig on boards.ie or beoir. Most probably boards
My brother in law was telling us that entering competitions is a great way to get feedback on our beers so I googled "homebrew competition Ireland".
I found it by searching for a step by step guide to kit brewing.
The one I found here was the handiest I saw online.
Twitter
I think someone on Boards contacted me at some stage
Found out through the brother.
Was reading the two articles of news on the homebrewwest site and heard about this place.
Linked to it from Boards
Google
For me it was word of mouth. A friend was already a member ( imark ) and he put me on to it.
Think it was through Beoir.
