Title: Giant Tea ball/tea egg
Post by: Blackbrew on April 22, 2013, 04:17:37 PM
Hi, am looking at getting one of these for using leaf hops in the boil with my whirlpool system and for dry hopping in the FV and keg.

I got a huge tea ball and three small ones for a grand total of $11.32 from china.
Took about a month to arrive and quality is great.

Just checked and that supplier I used isn't there anymore.
However, do a search for "tea ball 11cm" and there are loads of them for cheap.
Make sure you are using ebay.co.uk

Might be a better option. I have used these in the past for rice and i can vouch for these. Sturdier than that mesh setup above. Will be getting one or two soon again.

Yes, that's the one I'm using. Well made, easy to clean.

Arrived yesterday, they are well made but big! way too big for a corney keg hatch but it should be great for kettle hops and FV hops.
