Title: Fermentation Fridge
Post by: AJ_Rowley on April 23, 2013, 10:35:30 PM
Hey guys.

I'm just looking at second hand fridges on adverts and there is alot of tall fridge/freezers. Just wondering would I be able to use the freezer part for anything if I had an stc controller wired to it or would I be better to look for just a fridge.

Cheers in advance as always
AJ

For fermentation just stick to a larder fridge. The freezer part of a fridge freezer isn't much use when there's an stc1000 etc involved.
You need to check the F/F as some of them have two compressors and so can be wired separately. Two STC-1000s and you are away!

Set the freezer to maximum for DEEP freezing hops and yeast in glycerine and use the fridge with a heater and cooler function!
