Our first Brew Day will be on Saturday May 25th. Our friends at the Oslo are letting the Galway Home Brewers Club take over their beer garden for the day :)
We'll brew an all-grain from scratch and maybe an extract and a kit too.
This will be ideal for anyone who has never brewed before and will also be great for anyone who's thinking of stepping up to extract or all grain.
It's an all-day event; kicking off at 12pm and running until we're finished (about 6pm).
Keep an eye out here for more details
Are we allowed bring our set-up & brew or is it just one brewer doing a demo?
@Tom - I'll give you a shout
@Tube - good stuff! Why not round up a few lads from the Pale and make a weekend of it!

Weekend of it sounds good! We'll have our own brewers on the bay!
Would be great to get the NHC banner for it too!
Any chance a mayo man can attend
Of course! The more the merrier!!
I think gobus have a loo.
Ive got shiny new toys I can bring to this. Thrumometer, hop rocket & plate chiller. Whats the recipe for the brew(s)?

Gobus have toilets, most Citylink buses dont.
Hop Bomb is going to lead the all grain demo using gas, really he just wants to show off his shiny equipment ;D
I'm doing an extract using the electric; we'll throw on a kit too to complete the set!
The closest Il ever get to brewing in a brewery haha.
Tom if its any consolation you probably have some equipment there that breweries would love to get their hands on! Had to google thrumometer, was half expecting to find a Jim Carey movie!
I got city link back after the brewing champs and they do, praise allah, have a jacks on board!
The thrumometer was an impulse buy tbh. You could make one yourself from a piece of stainless tube & just tape an lcd thermometer strip to it.

Just get a milk carton, or if you're stuck,a lucozade or pepsi max bottle does the job. ;D
Continuous sparge 6 lucozade bottles with urine @ 66c for 145 mins. Maybe a nap or two in between. You'll be in Dublin before you know it.
lookin forward to this, hoprocket... sweeeeet. And some gobus aged cider, 5L water bt ensures maximum efficiency, then open ferment for loadso seating space on the way down :)
Lads, please don't start into RIMS.

Almost. http://shop.solarproject.co.uk/sp2020-easy-connect-water-circulation-pump-%C3%82%C2%A3260-p-10.html
And these lads for connecting your tubing http://shop.solarproject.co.uk/sp199-black-connector-nuts-washers-p-23.html
You can get the adaptors for about 11e locally so dont bother buying one from them.
