FG: 1.016
ABV: 7.8%
Estimated Color: 15.9 EBC

Ingredients:
------------
Amount        Item                                      Type         % or IBU
4.00 kg       Pale Malt (2 Row) UK (5.9 EBC)            Grain        64.52 %
1.50 kg       Munich Malt (17.7 EBC)                    Grain        24.19 %
0.20 kg       White Wheat Malt (4.7 EBC)                Grain        3.23 %
100.00 gm     Bramling Cross [6.00 %]  (60 min)         Hops         61.7 IBU
100.00 gm     Bramling Cross [6.00 %]  (10 min)         Hops         22.4 IBU
100.00 gm     Bramling Cross [6.00 %]  (0 min)          Hops          -
0.50 kg       Sugar, Table (Sucrose) (2.0 EBC)          Sugar        8.06 %
1 Pkgs        SafAle English Ale (DCL Yeast #S-04)      Yeast-Ale

Second iteration of this recipe. Of note:
- 100g x 3 of BX. Added in a bag. This had defintely reduced the wort loss (several litres) that I got from the first batch with loose hops.
- White sugar instead of brown. There's a demerera sweetness that's (thankfully) not in this. Will stick to white (was only use demerara as it has more street cred).
- S-04 instead of US-05. S-04 definitely works!

Will be interesting to compare your 8087 to my 80186 brew

So far its the only time I've had to sparge my hops!!

Mines now in secondary - must check the numbers tomorrow

Is this a modified recipe of the 'blackcurrant' flavoured beer you had at the LB meet a few months back? Looks like it's higher IBU and ABV?

Those BX hops were very interesting. Should be a cracking beer.
