Anyone got a 15mm drill bit. Need to drill out a pilot hole to allow a 15mm pipe fit through.
light stainless steel,so any metal bit.
Naw Engineering shops would take a 14mm or greater and machine end to fit a 1/2"(12.7mm) chuck. Had one before but not anymore :'(. I have a 12mm bit :(.
For a bit more precision draw a circle around the outside of the pipe and then use your 12 mm drill bit. Alternatively see if you can get your hands on a step bit. Not a precise as a hole saw but more precise than winging it with a 12 mm dill bit.

Run the 12mm around in the hole till it's big enough. Isn't that they way big holes are supposed to be drilled! ;)
I am planning to do this but I was hoping that we have members who can say "Why no I don't work in IT" :P
Either use a bi-metal hole saw or get a "Step Bit"
If you'd come to the last Tog day you woulod have seen a demo of using a step bit and hole saw to pop holes in SS and plastic
Just ask at McQuillans!!
And remember slow speed, lots of pressure and loads of lubrication :-)

Aldi sandyford HAVE bi-metal and carbide hole saw kits. Less than a tenner. 8.99 If I remember correctly
These hole saw kits start at 22mm see the following for details.

Looks the part alright. I will let you know after I try using my 12mm bit and do a bit of wiggling. :o ;D
Dancing while drilling is not recommended
Or having sex
Does ye not know that wiggling is an exact term used by many tradesmen and is understood in many languages. It is the same as a Gee hair is a precise measurement :P

Oi, don't be robbing my terminology (admittedly I heard it from a lad in B&Q)!
I have to differ with Tube, here. The "gee hair" is in fact quite a crude unit of measure. A far more precise unit is the "gnat's gee hair". There are approximately 2076 gnat gee hairs in a standard gee hair, or in lay man's terms, 2 gnat gee hairs is one milli-gee-hair.
A gee hair is a commonly used measurement in snooker
Sad to say, young lads these days don't know much about measuring in gee hairs, but I blame the brazilians on that,,,,
:P

I don't think I would like a cabinet maker working on my kitchen if he (or she :)) did not be aware that 2 gnat hairs are in fact proud of one milli-gee-hair as they are in fact 0.152 prouder. Now I know some of you young uns might think "aah that's not much" but if your working for the European space agency and setting the co-ordinates for a planned rocket trip to Mars,ye wont get there. :D

How in the hell did we start with a 15mm drill bit and end up with gnat porn (or is that human milli-porn)?
I'm surprised it took longer than 1page

Some of the pictures you have posted up here....I hope you dont just take them from your personal library. Please tell me you had to google specifically to find them. Even that begs the question as to what is going on in your head.
