Title: Slanting from a Wyeast pack?
Post by: admin on May 13, 2013, 11:25:00 AM
Anyone done it before?

I have a Wyeast Pilsner Urquell yeast pack that I want to slant.

TIA.

I have a vial of WLP800 that I'm about to slant if you want to save yourself the hassle. I also have some California Ale slants ready for you.

Yep, just scrape some of the old on to the new!

Great stuff!

Is it possible to slant from slants? I never want to buy PU yeast again!
Slant directly from slants is fine, also if slanting from a new smack pack, I'd make sure it had swelled or do it from the starter. I'm probably being a bit anal about it but that's what I do
