Title: Session timeouts
Post by: Jacob on May 14, 2013, 10:57:58 AM
Way to often when browsing, posting, replying on messages getting an forum session timeout error.
Have to login again and retype whatever was writing.
That happening even after 'Always stay logged in' option was selected.
Same behaviour at work and at home.
Any one else also noticed that?

I find that mine stays always logged in, but would like if the login box at the top of the screen defaulted to this rather than the 60 mins or whatever.

I have mine open at work (IE9), phone (safari) and home (firefox(i think the latest version)) and none of them seem to lose my logon.

Which browers do you use?

I think i saw something similar at the start - but im logged inon a few different machines and i never have this problem on either of them.
Im going to log back out - and look but I think there are 2 login areas - and one of them works and one of them produces the problems you see.
standby...

As padraic said above - i was thinking of the Login page Vs the login at the top of the screen.

I just used the login page and ticked the box.
Jacob - Can you delete the contents of the browsers memory and cookies  try again. I know sometimes thats not an option as you may have URLs passwords etc remembered.
Do you have cookies switched off? This should still work though if you do. But if you do use them, delete any national homebrew club cookies. Thats where the session ID is stored - if you dont use cookies it does something with the URL to ID the session.

...Does anyone else see this problem with chrome?

Yes, and I'm not using 'Incognito mode'. Also have to say that for the last few hours all working fine.

Do you think it was only happening since the time we had TT installed?

I thought this was going to be a thread about the pros & cons of sneaky burgers/kebabs when on the beer.
