Title: Free Water Boilers
Post by: Will_D on February 18, 2013, 03:03:31 PM
I have two stripped down Burco style stainless steel water boilers/heaters that are free for the taking.

They are stripped of the faulty bits that caused them to be scrapped. Basically what is left are two elements ( 1.5 kW and 1 kW ) that just need connecting up to a controller to act as a 20 litre HLT or mini boiler or whtever.

I have a 3rd which I am going to convert into a 12 bottle pasturiser for future cider projects.

So, 2 available, working elements, sight tubes ( may leak slightly ). The 1/2" bsp tap fromn B&Q or the like is NOT included. They will need descaling when water tight. I just use a tablespoon or so of citric acid in a litre of water.

Hi Will,

Are these still going? I would be very grateful to take one off your hands if so.

Many Thanks.

Brian there are two elements in the bottom. Look at the photos  8-)

One is 1 kw and tother is 1.5 kW so you can vary the heat depending on how many elements you switch on: 1, 1.5 or 2.5 kW is available.

Do you still want one ?
