Title: Malt storage recommendations?
Post by: imark on May 20, 2013, 04:17:00 PM
I'm up-scaling my malt storage capacity. Some of the storage I've seen online looks quite pricey for what you get. So I'm looking for recommendations. What do you guys use to store your malt?

Looks like you're talking ~€25 for decent purpose made containers. I see Alpack have 30L buckets for €5.95 + VAT. Seems like that's going to be hard to beat.

Plastic bin from b&q.  New of course.  Just drop the sack of malt in.  No problems with that so far and not bad for £15.

Home store + more listing 32L wheelie bin for 7.99. I presume the b&q bins much larger though. Buckets / fermenter would have benefit of being airtight too.

80l.  I can usually fit in a bag and a half more or less.  It is not fully air tight but close enough for the length of time it take me to get through a sack.
