Title: Micro brewery Tours
Post by: Brewery Hops on May 27, 2013, 01:21:09 PM
Hi home brewers,

Congrats on getting a national club up and running, great to see so many people brewing.
My name is Mia and I started running micro brewery tours last year to 8 micro's in the South & South West of Ireland.
It's a 5 day itinerary taking in 4 overnights in Dungarvan, Cork, Dingle and Lisdoonvarna.
It's aimed at the foreign market but I'd love to have some Irish people on board the tour also, especially keen brewers like yourselves.
Quite a few of the new breweries started off home brewing so it would be good to see their set up if you are hoping to take the commercial route also. Last years tours went really well, the brewers are great and so passionate about what they are doing, all with different styles and happy to answer any questions.
There are some touristy bits to the tour, you can't taste beer all day, well you can but it's a good chance to take a holiday and see parts of Ireland you mightn't have visited before.
I've extended a discount to NHC members of 450euro for 5 days transport, 4 nights accomodation, tours & tastings in 8 breweries and entrance to Burren Smokehouse and Cliffs of Moher. Tours start and finish in Dublin.
Tours this Summer are July 29th - Aug 2nd and Aug 26th - Aug 30th (Mon - Fri tour as some of the breweries don't open at weekends)
All info is on the website www.breweryhops.com  -- feel free to mail me with any questions.
Cheers,
Mia

Hi Mia, welcome to the website and I hope your tours go well for you this summer, unfortunately I don't have enough annual leave to go on the tour this year, I must try to be more economical with my days off next year!

Anyway, best of luck and I hope a few members come along on your tour!

Note to anyone who wants to become a member and avail of Mia's great offer as well as other offers can sign up by fllowing this link: http://nationalhomebrewclub.com/forum/index.php/topic,2541.0.html (http://nationalhomebrewclub.com/forum/index.php/topic,2541.0.html) and following the instructions!

Great discount Many Thanks!

Guys: We really need to get some flyers/cards/membership forms to Mia for any one on the tour that hasn't heard of us!

Also: In a few months she could organise the "8 casks of Ireland Tour"  :)

"Visit all 8 secret storage locations of the mighty NHC Imperial Stout challenge"

Really thinking outside my box now: (Q: CH!)

What about a brewery and home brewing tour? On one of the days they could meet up with a local group who are doing a brew day? Really spread the HB word!

Hi guys,

Thanks for the good wishes, hope to see some of you on the tour this Summer and yeah defo open to some additions to the tour in terms of including a homebrew day, time permitting.
Most people who have been on from overseas home brew so would be interested in meeting like minded people.
In relation to anything North of Clare, I've been onto a few of them who are all too small to have people through at the moment but some have plans to expand and hopefully I can take them in then.
This is a trial route taking in good breweries and some of the most scenic spots of Ireland around the South & West coast, would like to have a few options on the go and a Northern tour also in the future.
