I don't recall it ever being used. The Da just liked gizmos.
It might work but what's the point when it's pretty useless due to lack of an analog signal?
However you could modify it. Replace the screen with a little digital screen that can either play phone sized movies or else just use it as a retro digital photo frame.
you could have photos of atari jaguar, SNES, original gameboy and of course stuff like ZX spectrum, C64 etc.
Of course since this is a discussion about brewing equipment. Have it set to display the recipe of your current brew or if you have beer on tap, to scroll through what's on tap at the moment.
