Title: Gas Bottles
Post by: Will_D on May 30, 2013, 07:43:22 PM
I have come into possesion of some gas bottles:

There are three mixed gas bottles
and
three CO2 bottles. (only 2 in pic!)

Two of the CO2 bottles will need new valves as they have been altered (so that only a particular brewery's reg would fit their gas bottle)

The mixed are €20 each and the CO2 that need the valve change are only €10. Cash on collection please!

I just may be able to get some full mixed gas bottles (mainly 50/50 lager but maybe a stout 25/75 as well) for €50 each.
Let me know if yeez are interested!

Heres a photo of 5 of the bottles:

2 on left are CO2, 3 on right are Mixed.

Will any idea if the mixed gas bottles 75/25 have a valid pressure test?

If they were tested in the last few years I would c definitely be interested for 50 euro

You mentioned that you have 3 CO2 cylinders. I might be interested in the 1 with the standard reg fitting (total amateur here so point out any of my errors).
Is this cylinder still available? and if so -
1. what volume is the cylinder?
2. what is the history of the cylinder?
3. what condition is the cylinder in? do you know when it was last tested?
4. what price are you looking for?
Thanks.

Where can these be refilled Will?
No idea!

This is the problem with mixed gas bottles - there are plenty of empty ones available but getting refills is the problem.

There have been some mention in various threads of bar-hire/party hirre places who may be prepared to re-fill.

I have no first hand info!

Will,

I'll step back to 1 full bottle as there appears to be a demand. I'll be in Dublin next week to arrange a pick up.
