Title: Back Breaking Brews
Post by: GrahamR on June 02, 2013, 11:53:48 AM
So yesterday was a big brew day for me.

Started off with the bottling of my blue moon clone. Tasted v nice with the orange flavour being the strongest in the brew.

Next up was a 1 gallon batch of the peach n grape wine courtesy of our friends from Aldi.

Followed this up with a 1 Gallon Ginger Beer brew.
400g fresh ginger
1 tsp Ground Ginger
200g Light Brown Sugar
200g Carapils steeped in 2 ltrs water
Used a slurry from the Blue Moon Clone as the yeast, think I did this right as had never tried it before.

Finished up with a Cascade APA.
500g Crystal 60
1.5kg LME
15g Cascade @45 mins
10g Cascade @15 mins
5g Summit @ 15 mins
Safale US Yeast
SG was 147, unsure whether I will rack to secondary and dry hop

Back was in ribbons by the time I was finished, still sore today. You know it was a long day when that happens
