Title: Brewferm Lager Yeast
Post by: nigel_c on June 03, 2013, 05:09:29 PM
Anyone used this yeast?
Looking to do a few lagers and wondering if this yeast is any good?
Its a pretty cheep yeast but that's not what interests me. Not much information out there about results. Could get pitchable amounts of dries yeast for the same price as a liquid that would need a starter.

Just starting to do some research now but first hand experience is always better.

Cheers.

I have a steam style fermenting just now using mauribrew 497. No starter used and it kicked off as quick as any liquid yeast I have used.
Probably keg it this coming weekend, so haven't checked how the gravity is getting on.
