I recently pick up a stout tap from norm (originally from this thread (http://www.nationalhomebrewclub.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1359532495))
After trying the tap with my beer tower, they don't work together as the threading is different. My beer tower takes a tap with a 5/8" threading (like the standard taps with flow control valve) but these taps are 1/2" threading so they are slightly too small. Trying to find an adaptor to make things work.
Any one any idea where I could get one or even a good place to look/email?
There has to be something that can make things work!
I would also be interested.
Something like the reducing bushes on here?

QuoteYou could also try a heap of PTFE tape. Won't cost you much to see if it'll work, and the backnut will hide it.
Don't think it would work as the tap shaft needs to catch the thread to seal with the tower. As soon as you touch the tap it would loosen and destroy the place!! I'm surprised there's not something readily available specifically for this, maybe there is but I just cant find it!
I might go in to a plumbing supply place and see if they have something that I can just wing it with and see!
Have you tried a plumbing suppliers??? They should be able to make up an adapter I would imagine. Just as an example is it something like this???
