Does anybody know where to get beer snifter glasses locally? They're similar to brandy glasses only heavier and usually bigger. Very common in Belgium and Germany (bock pokal). Pics below to give you an idea what I'm looking for. Cheers.
I think Jacob has a source for these,pm him to check.
Thanks a ton Dempsey. Sent Jacob a pm.
Just to clarify it.
I don't have any snifters for sale. Was looking for few some time ago but haven't found anything cheap enough :P
For the moment to sample hoppy/strong/speciality brews using large red wine glass bought in Ikea...

This isn't a bad option if going down the Ikea route!

A bit big at 52cl for tasting but I might try these out!

At home I use wine tumblers for tasting!
Ikea have a couple of options on the wine tumbler front as well!

Do so that I know if it's worth making a trip out there!
I'm quite fond of the Ikea brandy glass for aromatic beers. It's quite big, but it's lovely to pour a big trappist in to it. Also, it's cheap and not too flimsy.

Thanks lads, seems like we'll all meet in Ikea. Will we bring few bottles each? just to see if the glass is working as it should ;D
I have started to collect/use the attached Jamie Oliver wine glass 45cl, as its small enough to do a taster and big enough to take a 500ml bottle in a two part pour. Pour, Drink half,Pour, Enjoy!!! Heh Heh ( is that copyright) The stems are a bit chunkier than standard wine and lower to the ground, so more rebust.
Yes they are a bit pricey if you go direct but TK Maxx have them in irregularly at 9.99 for 4.
Side by side comparison. Surprised with quality. Nice thick glass.
300 ml in the glass
Jacob, is this water in the glass? :o

It's an almost perfect example of BJCP Category 1A, however it seems to be a bit low in carbonation...
