John here. I first brewed well over 20 years ago when I was a broke young fella and it was terible stuff. ::) So I gave it up after a handful of brews. My interest in homebrew was rekindled 3 years ago when I came across Craigtube and he seemed to be loving his kit brews so as it was approaching xmas I dropped some not so subtle hints to Mrs. John and as luck would have it there was a homebrew shop closeby in Mountmellick(the homebrew company) and I haven't looked back. I have just joined up here to full membership so I thought it was time to say hello. I am looking forward to learning more and meeting fellow brewers. ;)
Well aboard John, there's a few more lads from the midlands on here.
and lads remember Kildare town is just up the road. U are very welcome over as we brew all the time and it almost open house. Yesterday we mashed up a smoked wee heavy ale and last sunday we produced the Altbier 3 ( North German Altbier) this saturday we have another brew day making a modded kit brew and a spruce ale from our own spruce tree.
