I am now informed that I will be in Manchester for wife's birthday on the 9th and probably the week after so you will have to excuse me.
I shall still book the room for the 9th if OK with the majority
I'll still be good for the 9th. But happy to change the date to suit others.
Off the M/Cr on Wednesday so won't make the 9th.
I see from some other threads that there is already talk of the next barrel filling!
English Barley wine has been mentioned ( now we know who is best at this don't we Nigel?)
Also talk of a strong scotiish Ale ( Que James who brewed an epic one recently )
Would you maybe discuss at the next meet?
Also don't forget we also have another barrell!!
Have just booked the venue for the 9th:
1. Will_D (Robinsons, Marstons, Boddingtons) In Manchester!

5. ColMack: Honey Blonde Ale (the 2 bottles I managed to hide from ye last month!)
Won't be making this one. Just back from stag weekend in Edinburgh and am physically and financially broke. Have fun.
Lads,
Is this meet still going ahead? There are only 4 confirmed and it's a bit of a spin for Rats and myself.
Regards,
Colin

I'm still up for it. Up to five now.... come on lads. Where's the rest of ya? I was planning to bring the last bottle of a seriously limited and special batch!
Will is in Manchester, not sure what's the story with James and others ...
If there will be just 5 of us we could use one of the benches outside :)
An idea... What if I'll print and bring some BJCP scoresheets and we'll try to score our beers?
I know that other clubs did that already, not sure if there's an interest in doing that in ours :P

Do it! Although I'm not too sure what category I'd enter the beers I'm bringing.

Great idea. I'd be well up for that.
Ratsathome are you still available for this meet-up?

Not to worry! I'll bring all the docs/specs I have and we'll try to classify it! :)

You better get the category right, cos if you don't, I'll be giving them a 13!
Very strict, I am.

Ha ha... I'll just lie and call them specialty beers and pretend I've added all sorts of crazy stuff.

13 is 'reserved' for undrinkable, infected beers. Even with the off-style beer you should score it higher.

Scoresheets printed! Don't forget to bring a pen or pencil :)
Have just sent Cahal a text!
Enjoy the evenning!
Great idea about using the score sheets. Will also be handy for anyone doing the write up.
I will have to score a few of the local beers in this area also
Enjoy
My bus never showed up. >:( Waiting here patiently for the next one. No fun at all when you're on the way to a homebrew meet.
Great night - its was hot so we took up shop outside ..
Some great beers- not a bad one among them !
