I'll be along. Don't know what I'll have ready yet.
1kg grated ginger, lime juice, 2 lemons an orange in a muslin bag for 2 weeks in fermenter combined with a balls up with the weights of dme/sugar added means an 7.5% alcohol. Tastes really acidic, sweet with a massive whack of ginger. Suspect this one will be "for gifting" ;-) just not sure how to shift 40+ bottles. Hopefully it will mellow over the next few weeks.

7.5%! Not exactly a summer refresher, is it?!? ;) :D
More like summer sleeper :-) 2nd time in a row that temp and measuring the og had caught me out using a hydrometer. Have a Refractometer on the wish list for the next time someone from work goes to the US
Shanna
Jesus, I never adjust for temperature... :-[ :)
Remember that a refractometer is only useful for measuring your original gravity, not your final gravity dude. At least that's what I'm led to believe.
Yes refractometer is only good for original gravity apparently you can adjust it to also deal with fg. My decision to buy the refractometer is based on not having to worry about the temperature of the sample when measuring the gravity.

Hi, I'll drop in.
I've a White House Honey Ale that I did - I'd be interested in getting some expert advice/feedback.
What Qty is normally brought?
Thx.

Hi vonholt, you'll be very welcome. I'm not sure if the feedback you receive would be deemed "expert", but we'd be delighted to sample it for you. :)
Normally, a 500ml bottle will be enough for everyone to have a taste. Though I normally bring 2 x 500ml just in case.

I won't make it tomorrow.
See you all next month.
See ye tomorrow, looking forward to finally meeting some of the gang.
Lads, as we've only got three definites on this, I think we might cancel and wait until next month. I'll give the DH a shout and let them know we won't be in.
A shame I didn't see this post yesterday. A friend of mine and myself went along to be informed that the meeting was off. Good side of the story, I enjoyed a pint of Galway hooker! Maybe next month.
I'm sorry you had a wasted trip. That's why we ask attendees to sign up in the thread. Anyone that signed up was also messaged about the meet being called off. Next time hopefully.
