Title: Stainless Steel nuts and bolts
Post by: Cathal O D on June 30, 2013, 10:19:11 PM
Hey there

Anyone know where I can get some stainless steel nuts bolts and washers. Ive checked a few hardware stores and all they have is galvanised coated ones.

An engineering supplies shop will have the best range, occasionally the DIY superstores or builders merchants will have them but not necessarily the sizes you want.

For just a few (but probably expensive) go to a yacht chandler.

For more then try the engineering suppliers - look up SS fixings and fastenings.

Some however will only sell by the box!! some will may sell smaller quantities.

Personally I have used these:

http://www.allmetalfasteners.com/

They sold me 4 bolts and 8 large washers ( Large Hi-tensile steel bolts M8 by 80mm ) for a fiver

Give them a call

They even walked me around the stock shelves looking to find exactly what I wanted!

Higly recommended
