Hello Dubs!
A quick email from the Belfast branch here to ask about good craft beer pubs in Dublin.
I'm organising a stag do for my brother, and wondered if you guys wouldn't mind suggesting some good real ale or craft beer bars in and around the city centre.
I know of the Bull & Castle, Brewery Lane and the Merchant's Arch.
Any other suggestions?
Black Sheep, Mulligans, Kavanagh's, Farringtons
(Mulligans for food!)
If your coming down by Train then when you come out of Connolly station, cross the road to the Brew Dock to start. :)
Brew Dock as said, especially is coming by Bus or Train good Grub too. Also, not a craft bar, but still interesting is my old college training ship, the MV Cill Airne
She was the training vessel when I was in college & I was @ the yard (for a day only mind you) in Cork to check the engines when she was being retro fitted for her new use. There are some stories from past students bout her, including putting a hole in the side of the QE2 when she came to Cobh & the lads scribing their names in her hull when alongside. My year was the last year before she became obsolete due to the course moving to an updated purpose built college. Shame really.
Never knew we had ship building here in Dublin.
Still a few yards left, just do servicing now.
Amazing, thanks alot lads. Extra special Qudos goes to Shano for his map! The kind of pedantry and passion one regularly finds among homebrewers!
This'll hopefully send us on our way and give us a good wee pub crawl.
Also planning on doing the Liffey cruise and the trad pub tour. Been in convo with the Bull & Castle about maybe organising an ale tasting session as well
So any other comments or advice would be appreciated...
Cheers! Will be happy to return the favour if any of you are ever coming up to Belfast.
The Viking Splash tour is fantastic, great craic for a bunch of lads & of course the Store House is worth a tour
Cheers lads! That slash one looks good - seems they accomodate stags as well....
