Notes
Clone of Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye IPA.
Mash with 15 litres at 67.5c. Raise mash temp to 77c and hold for 5 mins. Recirc and sparge with hot enough water to maintain 77c in the mash tun.
Dry hop in secondary for 5 days
Like the buses nothing for months and then 2 come along at once ;D
Darn - only just seeing this event now but I'd love to know how it turns out as Ruthless has to be one of the best beers Ive ever had! An expensive habit though!
When do you estimate its going to be ready to drink?
Defo going to come along to the next meet up...
Kegged it on Sunday after 5 days of dry hopping. Will be leaving it for a week and then into the kegerator and on to the gas next weekend. Should be ready for the BBQ on the 10th.
great! is it the first time you have tried to make a Ruthless like brew?
Yep, first attempt.
It is based on a clone recipe from BYO.
