Title: Capital Brewery
Post by: Rossa on July 08, 2013, 10:12:52 AM
This is the system that we could buy. What sort of price do you think is reasonable? Hard to say until we inspect it really. Two conicals too apparently. The pump are probably the guts of €300 on their own. €1200 a bit much? They bought it for 2k.

That looks like an immersion chiller in the boiler on the right. Any idea what kind of filtering device is installed in the boiler? Immersion chillers cause the cold break to precipitate out of solution along with all the hop trub etc. It might be difficult to drain the vessel without dragging some of this stuff too.

No idea. I'll have to get a look at it. All I know is what we see really.

I would say you're original price of €1,200 reasonable. Not much more. Who's selling?

How is the purchase being funded?
Wouldn't mind one of these for liffey brewers.
