Jeasus lads - wouldn't it be great if we ran our own Homebrew Conference -
This event sounds absolutely fantastic - apparently it sells out in seconds ...

We are learning so much from our presence at other events ....
Include this as part of the homebrew fest?
Have a Homebrew fest/expo Weekend?
I think we're a little bit short on numbers for something of this size yet. But a man (or woman) can dream ... :)

Have you fixed a date yet? Where ever it is, I'm there!
Ideally we would run several events
- say a homebrew club competition (pitting the clubs against each other)
- a live demo
- tasting sessions .. BJCP etc...
- 3/4 15-20 minute lectures - perhaps yeast / mashing techniques / fermentation / brewing history / perhaps a brewing panel of experts.
- an AGM
- that sort of thing.
With regards to the lectures - from attending the All-tech lectures - I don't think its beyond the realms of our capabilities.
I'd love to see a homebrewers conference starting up! We could tie it in with the competition in March?
I'll do the tasting talk! And could possibly cover another topic!
I have made no attempt to hide that I am a fan of Club Night (http://www.ahaconference.org/events/club-night/). :)

There was this that with a gorilla flinging kegs down ramps...
We also made some friends at the Alltech gig. Institute if brewing's Tim O'Rourke for example. Couple of the big boys too. Very knowledgeable lot. There is a lot of goodwill out there I was told. There is also some high profile Irish brewers working in the UK plus our own brewers.
May I suggest throwing everything on there and we can remove the things that dont work later.
