Say a tenner? but you could give more.

Need enough to name a fermenter (€95 I think) but if theres more then no harm

Course if we raised a grand we could do a NHC beer!

This will make for a great press release:

The National Homebrew Club doesn't just support home brewers.

We are keen to encourage craft brewers at end ends of the brewery size spectrumk.

Only recently the club were proud to help the latest small scale brewery start up: Blacks of Kinsale.

Picture is the chairman of the NHC handing over the cheque to Sam Black

Crazy idea lads but if NHC and Beoir teamed up we might have a shot at making the 1k and getting a brew on. Would be a great day out for all of us and it would help Sam a lot more at the same time.

If Boeir get to 1000 then Sam will get 1,100! Bigger win!

I think Beoir getting to €1000 is optimistic. A joint effort including NHC members might make it happen though.

I only just found this topic after reading the article yesterday. No copying ;), I just thought about it the other day and put it forward on Beoir.
We just need 20 people to offer €50 for our one. It's doable, though we only have 6 in so far.

Just bumping this up as I note that the Beoir list is up to 20 so they have committed the 1K for a brew!

I note that there are some very familiar names on their list and what better way to ferment a Beoir beer than in the NHC fermenter.

So come on lads

I think this shows that we have so much traffic a lot of threads go unread!

Comments on how to improve things? ?

@Will,
I had already contributed directly to Blacks.
I jumped on the Beoir Wagon as this was not happening here.

There is no reason why the NHC can't buy a batch too.
Just start the thread and list the names.

Thanks to all of you for your support. We are delighted to have so many members names to add to the brewery supporters wall, and hopefully a great name for one of our FV. A great excuse for everyone to call into the brewery and visit! FV arriving Sept so do you have a name in mind yet?

For anyone interested, if Beoir now make it up to 40 contributions we will be allowed to brew a 1,000lt batch on the main system and everyone will therefore get 20 bottles each. Only need 10 more now.
