Title: Miller light punchtop can
Post by: LordEoin on August 05, 2013, 03:54:10 AM
Anyone see the ads on youtube for the new 'Miller Light Punch-Top Can'?
Aimed to be a way to pour faster and smoother.
But isn't that the reason that cans have a kinda oval pour hole? (ie pour from the side of the hole, not the middle, to avoid it pouring in a glug-glug-glug way...)
I'm confused by this. Is it just a way to 'shotgun' a can?

Had a look at the youtube ad. Fox news say it will encourage binge drinking ??? will make you get drunk faster ??? ??? ::) Are they really that stupid.

It looks like their accountants reduced the thickness of the al-loo-min-um to save money. But it's so thin, it punctures too easily. Then the marketing crowd come up with "Punch Top Can". High five dudes  :-\

Looks like just one specific area of thin metal.

I see. Your second post sums it up then; pointless!

In fact, it's going to turn me off Miller Lite completely  :P
