Title: Bit's and pieces for sale
Post by: Taf on August 07, 2013, 10:33:59 AM
I'm scaling down operations a bit, as I'm not getting the time to brew as many big batches as I'd like. I'm having a bit of a clearout at the same time, as I have too much stuff cluttering up my garage/brewhouse. Therefore the following items are for sale.

Crankenstein Mill 3E Three roller model (Never used) €110
7 20 bottle crates (German Style) €9 each or €55 for all (some full of bottles, mostly clean)
9 12 bottle crates (Bulmers style) €8 each of 60 for all (some full of bottles, mostly clean) (SOLD)
1 25kg weyerman floor malted bohemian pilsner malt (think BB date is june14, but will check) €25
1 100(approx) litre keg bolier (2 kegs welded together - with 1/2 inch welded valve) €150
1 (maybe 2) 120 litre bolier with powerful integrated gas burners (Good for mashtun or boiler)€250
1 Beer Engine (Hi-Gene) with sparkler, cash breather and demand valve €120 (SOLD)
1 Large plastic drum with lid (Grain store) approx 200 litre €45

I will see what else I have, that I might want to part with, maybe some hops and grain, and will update here. I can provide pictures if people want them. I may be open to offers on certain items, but not rediculous ones, as I am not particularly desperate to sell. If some items have more than one interested party, I may decide on who I sell to, depending on what is convenient re collection/delivery.

No problem Garry. Are you out in Ovens? If so, I can bring them to work with me. Do you want bottles and all?

Hi Covey.

No, it doesn't have a hopper and base.

Thanks,

Lads, just a reminder about rule #1, i.e. keep deals on thread. Go to PMs when the deal is done.

Yes, fair enough. I'd prefer it if things were done out in the open anyway.

Pic of the 120litre boiler?

The gas burner is contained underneath the bottom of the bolier within a skin, so it really keeps it's heat well. It's difficult to take a picture of, but will try once I get a chance.

Oh sorry, should keep it open. As I said in the PM, I'm interested in the crankandstein Taf.

Hello Taf,

I'd be keen on the 120L boiler and the mill also.

Is €340 for both okay? I can collect to save you the hassle I'm in town

If you want to ship the mill to the lads further up the line thats grand first come and alla that.

Thanks

Brian

I also have some of these beautiful brass&copper taps for sale. They came out of an old pub in Cork, and look really good once polished. The actual tap is broken on two of them, but working on the others. i think I have five altogether, so 3 working and 2 not working. It's the neck of them that is really worth money. I will let the working ones go for €45 and the broken ones for €25.

Hi Brian.

Your offer of €340 for the 120 litre bolier and the mill are accepted. The offer that you have made for the mill, when considering the boiler at asking price, is the same if not a few euro higher than the other offer I have received, so I am happy to go with yours. I'll PM you re collection/delivery.

Just for the sake of transparency, I did say to Johnnycheech that acceptance of his offer was dependant on me not getting a better offer today, and I did stipulate on original post that ease of collection/delivery would also be a factor.

Thanks,
Billy.

Hey Taf

What type of shank does the Guinness tap need to connect it all up to corny system?  Interested in the Guinness tap second last in the pic but dont want to buy it if I cant hook it up to my kegerator system.

Thanks.

Hi HB.

That tap is actually already gone, so apologies for that. I will upload an updated image of the remaining taps once I get a chance.

I'd take the bag of malt if there's some way of getting it to Bray. I presume it's whole?

Hi Taf,

Them taps are nice. Do you have a working one with no branding? The second from the left, for example, or the first one (left) if the branded clip can be removed?

Tom

Yes, it is whole. We'll see if anyone is going that direction any time soon.

Hi Tom.

Yes, the one second from the left is available. One of the lads actually broke the branded one trying to remove the clip, so that is one of the broken ones! Where are you based?

Might be, if JohnRM is going to the BJCP course, and I can meet him in the meantime, but think he is away with work at the moment. I will message him to check.

Hi CH.

That's very decent of you. Whereabouts in Cork city would I need to drop it, and any particular time?

cheers,
Billy.

If JohnRM can't move it to Dublin this time, I'm in no rush for it. We'll be back in for a session in September, if you've space to store it till then?

It'll give me time to talk myself into getting a broken one off you too...  :-\

I've got one, and they're lovely. I think they are pretty normal taps, with a short shank on them (for the curve). If Taf doesn't get back with a measurement I'll take one and pass it on to you.

Hi HB.

Yes, I have 3 left, 2 with tap, and one is just the neck. They had a mixture of taps on them, so think it would be fairly easy to put on different taps now, and maybe butcher out the existing shank in order to fit new tap. I had a look at one of my corney taps, and the shank looks a bit wider, so you might have to put on a reducer, if you have similar, but would say it's simple enough. I'll check the diameter of the existing shank, and will post up a picture of the connection, and you can let me know what you think.

Thanks lads. Just looking at them a bit closer I think they'd come out too far from my small diy counter. Space is at a premium. I think il end up going with those 70e chrome towers from mybeer&wine. Cheers.

7 20 bottle crates (German Style) €9 each or €55 for all (some full of bottles, mostly clean)
Are these still available?

If so I would like to take the lot, with bottles.
