Homebrew Tasting

Location:
W J Kavanaghs, Dorset Street, Dublin 1

Date:
27th August (last Tuesday of the month)

Start time:
7.00pm

Protocol:
All new members welcome
If you have some brews for tasting, bring along ~1 Litre of each.
To show some thanks to our hosts for allowing us to drink homebrewed beers in their pub, it is customary to buy some drinks from the house. Not difficult given the great selection on offer!

I'm assuming most people will have brewed their session beer for the competition by the 27th. Maybe we could bring along our recipes to chat about session beers a bit? I'd love to see what tricks people used  :P

If I was to hand out these to get peoples thoughts on every beer, are they short enough to not annoy people?

Hey I should make it in with my first beer, (100+ IBU APA) I'm pretty sure I know what I did wrong but would welcome some discussion about it and the future brews I have planned! Be good to meet more homebrewers ;)

Really enjoyed the evening and a great variety of beers... I'm still tasting  Hops this morning!!!  ;D

and does anybody know where  I can get a pre-inoculated mash tun for sour beers!!! :P

Just saw the write up, nice work!! one thing though, my beer was two weeks old, not a year! it's now a month old and the majority of the dry hop aroma has already faded! lucky we've already drank most of it!!

I think I had mentioned my last attempt at brewing a kit which was over a year ago.. must have gotten mixed up in the notes. Oh and thanks for reminding me of that slip of the tongue!  :-[:D

Sorry about that Fergal, I went into the post to start changing it but the whole paragraph is about how it was an aged beer lol so I'm just going to be lazy and leave it as it is.
