Looking to duplicate my single hop Bramling Cross ale, basically a 7.5% 70 IBU 80% pale/20% munich malt fermented with US-05 but using Marynka:
50g @ 60 min
50g @ 10 min
50g @ 0 min
Anyone any thoughts? Haven't used Marynka before but unsderstand they're a bit like Goldings.
Looking through the prices of the recent hop buy, they are very cheap, any reason why this is so.
Marynka and Lubuski are hops mostly used in Poland by commercial brewers & homebrewers. Also other breweries started using it like fe. Marston's Brewery in their 'Single Hop Marynka'.
How did this come out tube? Thinking of doing a similar brew.
If it is like goldings it might best be used as a bittering hop as golding are soft when used as bittering
Never had any of those BD single hop beers. Can you get them in Dublin?
I've an El Dorado single hop brew planned so would like to get my hands on that one.
I'll be doing this tomorrow. 2 x 4 packs! 8)
I got a 4 pack in Galway. 18.50e! I justified it as r&d. None of them are great imo & well overpriced. El Dorado is the best of the 4.
I did a 60g hop back addition of el dorado today in an APA (along side warrior for bittering with cascade & williamette late additions)
Smells good.
I had el dorado and Dana in the townhouse last week. The Dana was undrinkable imo, some serious off flavours in it. Tasted like a nosebleed and/or a mouthfull of copper coins!
Jaysus! Looking forward to picking these up now ???
Keep us posted! I might have just had a dodgey bottle!
