Title: Cleaning keg poppets
Post by: Ciderhead on August 24, 2013, 03:41:24 PM
Is there any point?
Couple of kegs being soaked on a Sat afternoon.
I pull back the rubbers when soaking the gas and dip tube but just let the poppets stew in a warm conc on vwp followed by a rinse.
I've never had a problem so have I just been lucky?
They are fierce fiddly little feckers to get the rubbers off and I could see myself tearing one with a screwdriver getting it off.

If you clean as good as your hands are you will have no problems. :)

I just soak them all together in a bowl. Possibly just lucky too.

Actually a 30 min soak in vwp is great for the nights I go out breaking into peoples houses
