Title: glencairn-style whisk(e)y glasses
Post by: UpsidedownA (Andrew) on September 03, 2013, 08:01:41 PM
Does anyone know where to get these for a good price? The glencairn whisk(e)y glass is about 4 inches tall and an inch an a half to 2 inches in diameter. it has a bowl shape which narrows/tapers to the opening to concentrate the whisk(e)y aroma. It doesn't have a stem (just google it and you'll know the one I mean). I only have wide tumblers at home and I find you don't get the aromas coming off the whisk(e)y nearly so well. I presume I can get them from Celtic Whiskey shop on Dawson St in Dublin, but they'll probably be an arm and a leg. I'm not sure if mail order is a good idea for glass or crystal. Any leads on a shop in Dublin that might have them at a reasonable price?

A fiver would be a good price. They are €7.50 in the Celtic whiskey shop on Dawson St.
