Title: Greeting chaps and chapettes
Post by: Evanmcl on September 09, 2013, 10:52:31 PM
How ya going? Just to say a quick hello.

Myself and friend have done a couple brews now, around 50-60 gallons. Mostly kits but some ginger beer, hard ice tea and cider made from apples bought from dunnes.

Planning on expanding our arsenal this week with some bottling equipment, beer gun canister etc.

Open to any advice.

Cheers,
Ev

50-60 gallons? Is that a sum total of all the beers you have done or is it a mistake? Have visions of you trying fill a 200 litre plus fermenter  ;)

Welcome Evan!
Sounds like you and your friend have caught onto this brewing lark pretty well.
Have you started playing with hops, grains and yeasts yet?

We've done a little , with 1 of our last kits; an Australian pale ale by coppers with added challanger hops and some spray malt, pretty happy with result if I do say so myself

Haven't tried any grains yet although another friend of mine is doing something with grain this week so I may check it out.

Pretty much stuck to the beaten track with regards yeast although we used some different one for the ginger beer , can't think of the name off hand
